Senior Public Relations Associate

Want to work for a fast paced, fast growing public affairs firm? We are building a communications team to work on some of the most exciting real estate development, public policy and government affairs projects in the region.

This role requires the ability to handle a variety of projects at any one time as well as being able to respond quickly to clients, reporters and team requests. This role may require attendance at night  (ZOOM) meetings. Applicants must be flexible and  able to work beyond 9-5.

  •  Self-starter with 4-6 years of public relations, real estate development, economic development public affairs, advocacy, journalism or political campaigns

  • Social media enthusiast and user

  • Proven project manager

  • Problem solver with solid collaboration and analytical skills

  • Communicator with excellent written and presentation skills

  • Curious and a news junkie

  • Zealous  follower that understands the 24-hour news cycle, local and national policy agendas

  • Proven ability to keep abreast of current affairs and relate them to client situations



  • Produce press releases and media advisories.

  • Prepares public outreach materials, including speeches, fact sheets, press guidance, and blogs.

  • Conduct interviews to produce news and feature articles.

  • Responsible for submitting content to various publications in various formats to ensure widest dissemination of information.

  • Responsible for daily maintenance of social media websites to include scheduled and unscheduled posting on Facebook, Twitter, etc

  •  Stays on top of client and industry news – leverages it for regular proactive outreach to reporters on behalf of clients

  • Assist Senior Vice President with planning, development and execution of community relations / outreach and public engagements.

  • Serve as Team Leader for assigned projects and events.

  • Draft and design different type of PR content (for example media announcements, newsletters and speeches)

  • Edit and proofread press releases, videos and presentations

  • Examine and document media coverage

  • Maintain contact databases and mailing lists with updates

  • Create project-specific media lists to support PR team

  • Perform a variety of different administrative tasks

  • Political campaign or Journalism experience is a plus.
