Speaker series to feature elected women leaders who inspire their communities

BOSTON — Benchmark Strategies, a Boston-based consulting firm, is proud to announce a partnership with the Massachusetts Women’s Political Caucus (MWPC) to present the Emerging Leaders Speaker Series. This series will be a part of the MWPC Young Professionals Program and will feature Massachusetts women leaders elected to public office that lead and inspire their communities. The Massachusetts Women’s Political Caucus is a nonpartisan organization committed to increasing the number of women elected to public office and appointed to public policy positions. The Emerging Leaders Speaker Series is spearheaded by Benchmark Strategies Assistant Vice Presidents, Jessica Morris and Nicole Herendeen.

“As a member of the MWPC Young Professionals group since 2017, I have had the opportunity to participate in several of MWPC’s legislative and educational programs,” says Nicole Herendeen, Benchmark Strategies Assistant Vice President of Public Affairs. “I am excited for Benchmark to be able to collaborate with MWPC and provide other young professionals with the same experience. These discussions give young women the opportunity to listen to and learn from today’s women elected leaders and expand their leadership skill set, both professionally and personally, and further develop the resources they need to stay politically engaged in their communities.”

The speaker series will include moderated discussions where women elected to public office will share their insights and experiences about their political journey. The speakers will share challenges and lessons learned as a woman in politics as well as offer guidance to young women about how they can use their passions to make an impact in their communities.

“We are thrilled to partner with Benchmark Strategies for the Emerging Leaders Speaker Series. The MWPC Young Professionals program opens doors to public life, and this series of conversations with elected women leaders will be an inspiring opportunity to learn about service and the path to elected office,” says Kat Cline, Associate Director at MWPC.

The first event in the Massachusetts Women’s Political Caucus Emerging Leaders Speaker Series will be held on April 14, 2022, beginning at 5:00pm and will feature a conversation with Ruthzee Louijeune, Boston City Councilor At-Large.
